1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Scrap Vala app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Scrap Vala is a platform that connects customers wishing to sell scrap materials with registered scrap collection shops. The App allows customers to browse categories, submit pickup requests, track request status, and earn referral rewards. Shop admins and carriers use the App to manage operations.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date registration information.
- Not share your account with others.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activities conducted through your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent pickup requests.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or other users' access.
- Impersonate any person, shop, or entity.
6. Pickup Requests and Transactions
Scrap Vala facilitates the connection between customers and scrap shops. Actual prices, weights, and payment terms are agreed between you and the shop. The App displays indicative prices from the shop's catalog; final amounts are confirmed at the time of pickup. Scrap Vala does not guarantee specific prices or availability.
7. Referral Programme
The referral programme is operated at the discretion of the shop. Reward amounts, eligibility criteria, and redemption rules are set by the shop and may change at any time. Rewards are non-transferable and have no cash value unless explicitly redeemed by the shop.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and code in the App are the property of the shop operator and Scrap Vala's developers. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the App.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Scrap Vala and the shop operator are not liable for any losses arising from reliance on App content or service interruptions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scrap Vala's developers and the shop operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to users, third parties, or the service. Upon termination, you must cease using the App and delete it from your device.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
13. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be available in the App and on our legal page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
